In this project, I was given a sample piece of the "parking violation" ticket by the Upton Police Department and was asked to recreate it for them.

A day in the life of Marcus
Copy & Print Center
I have worked in the Copy & Print Center for 2 years as a co-op job in school. My responsibilites consist of making copies, and completing projects for clients. Some of my favorite projects that I have worked on were the shape project, and the ring dance project. Everyday when I come in, I begin by logging into my computer and waiting to see if my boss has any assignments for me. I also work with my partner Gray Campbell who works on similar projects as I do.
Shape Project
This project was requested by my school superintendent. The project was made for the superintendant’s grandson that is in kindergarten so they can get a better idea of how to learn about shapes. The process of this project took only a couple of days to finish, and the original idea consisted of creating a poster and with the shape names provided to me, and using real life objects as an example to represent the kind of shape it is. Once the design was finished, My teacher came up with the idea of making it a velcro poster where the kids would have to match the velcro pictures to the correct outline of the shape. Something I learned from this assignment was how to create a project for a specific target audience being young kids, and how to make it identifiable for them. I feel like what I did well was come up with ideas for what realilistic objects I would use to represent each shape.
Ring Dance Project
In this project, I was asked to recreate the layout of the names and titles presented on the pages. The process took only a few hours to finish. I began by choosing fonts that I felt would fit with the theme, then began positioning the text page by page. Something I learned from this project was how to properly position text. I feel something I did well was being able to find the right fonts that would match the theme of the design.
